Nic Whittam

Nic joined Kloeckner Metals in 2019, and began his career in internal sales, supplying multi‑metal products across a wide range of industries including automotive, oil and gas, agriculture, and general engineering. His early success in this role naturally progressed into an external sales position, giving him the opportunity to work directly with customers and develop strong commercial relationships.

As his responsibilities grew, Nic transitioned from general stockholding into value‑added services. This provided hands‑on exposure to tube laser cutting, flatbed laser processing, drilling, and precision cutting—enabling him to supply customers with fully finished products for just in time deliveries.

In 2023, Nic joined Steel Traders, moving into direct mill‑to‑customer trading. Here, he expanded his own customer base and global supplier network, with a particular focus on tube and pipe for the oil and gas sector as well as major national infrastructure projects. His key product areas include tube, pipe, and merchant bar, working closely with both stockholders and end users at shareholder level.
